Celebrating Excellence: The 2026 PRWeek People & Places Awards
PR professionals from across the nation stepped away from their deadlines and to-do lists for the second edition of the PRWeek People & Places Awards. It was definitely a night to remember with fierce competition across all 12 People and Places award categories, including our own team shortlisted for the Diversity and Inclusion award.
Backed by PRWeek, the 2026 People & Places Awards shined a spotlight on the people behind the industry’s most coveted campaigns and the countless organisations that help bring these incredible ideas to life.
Shining a light on the industry’s brightest minds and workplaces
The Ham Yard hotel came alive with a crowd of shortlisted teams, rising stars, and seasoned team leaders reflecting the heart and soul of the PR profession. To honour these incredible individuals, this year’s ceremony introduced a new assortment of awards, the PRWeek People Stars 2026 list, to celebrate those who continue to inspire, push boundaries, and redefine the profession.
Spanning three different experience tiers, including Industry Newcomer, Under 10 Years Experience, and Over 10 Years Experience, the People Stars list gave these dedicated professionals the opportunity to receive industry-accredited recognition and be honoured with a profile on the PR Week Website.
Diversity and Inclusion: More than a category
YourStory PR was among the many spectacular finalists for the Diversity and Inclusion award. Although we weren’t recognised with an award on the night, we have taken the time as a team to recognise our own accomplishments in ensuring that everyone feels included and celebrated.
We are ethnically diverse. Neurodivergently diverse. Age-diverse. Gender-diverse - We reflect the world as it actually exists, and that’s something that we continue to be very proud of. Diversity at YourStory PR isn’t just a strategy or a policy for us. It is an integral part of our identity and remains at the core of everything we do and what we stand for.
What’s next?
Despite what we’ve accomplished, we know that there is always more that can be done, and we’re fully dedicated to listening and learning to ensure that YourStory PR continues to be a workplace where our people can shine by simply being who they are.
For us, that means having open conversations and holding ourselves accountable to make change from the bottom up and inside out. It also means showing up for one another and making a conscious effort to ensure that everyone’s voice is heard, our differences are respected, and that our people are empowered to work to their true potential.
Looking ahead
Though we are incredibly proud to have been selected as a finalist, we don’t need an award to validate what we already know. Our work, our team, truly speaks for itself. The true testament of our success is represented in the culture we’ve worked hard to build, the stories we tell, and our people, who work tirelessly to share them.
